My favorite task- tucking these slimy babies in 🪱 We put two different types of worms into our soil … because diversity !!! These little honeys will break down our amendments (compost, alfalfa meal, etc) eat up our green manure (cover crops and cannabis leaf prunings), as well as gobbling down the old root system from the harvested plant before we plant again to start fresh. Circle of life !

Meet Jake, our cultivator turned Ice Water Hashing Technician. You’ll find him in the lab hard at work manually separating trichomes heads from the flower using ice and water to create high quality full-spectrum hash. This hash can then be used to create different products like rosin, temple balls, and brick hash. In his downtime you’ll find him relaxing by working out or smoking hash. Jake says he has one of the coolest jobs at Local Roots - we agree!
